Opportunity for partnership
EnDev Kenya is inviting stoves and solar enterprises through this Call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) to partner and cooperate in enhancing market development and access of good quality solar solutions for productive use (Solar for PU) and improved cooking solutions (ICS) for productive use (PU) and social institutions (SI).
Target companies
This opportunity targets Kenyan registered companies/enterprises promoting technologies for solar for PU and ICS for PU and SI through a commercial/market-based approach.
Eligible technologies
- Solar for PU i.e., for electricity solutions (e.g., lighting solutions, barber kits, entertainment kits, phone charging kits solar pumping, solar cooling, grinding, milling, solar powered incubation/hatchery e.t.c) and thermal solutions (e.g., solar drying, solar water heating).
- ICS for PU and SI e.g., improved cookstoves, boilers, ovens, grills, drying e.t.c
Call
The call for EoIs for 2021 commences on 1st June 2021 and applications are accepted from interested companies/organisations on a rolling basis until 30th June 2021 with the possibility of reopening the call for EoIs for more companies subject to performance of selected companies. GIZ shall evaluate the EoIs and carry out due diligence process and thereafter the applicants will be informed on their eligibility to participate in the project. Application
Prior to application, EnDev Kenya is first inviting interested eligible enterprises to register and participate in a virtual orientation workshop scheduled for 31st May 2021. An orientation on the call for this EoI will be elaborated during the workshop. The application forms for the call shall also be provided after this workshop.
