{"id":1814,"date":"2020-09-21T11:13:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-21T11:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/endev.info\/?post_type=call&#038;p=1814"},"modified":"2020-12-01T19:16:38","modified_gmt":"2020-12-01T18:16:38","slug":"call-for-eoi-social-impact-incentives-siinc-pilot-project-in-kenya","status":"publish","type":"call","link":"https:\/\/endev.info\/fr\/calls\/call-for-eoi-social-impact-incentives-siinc-pilot-project-in-kenya\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Expressions of Interest: Social Impact Incentives Pilot Project in Kenya"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-intro-font-size\">EnDev seeks to pilot a RBF scheme for enterprises called \u2018Social Impact Incentives\u2019 (SIINC), a funding instrument that rewards impact enterprises with financial incentives for achieving social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expression of interest (EoI) for the SIINC Pilot in Kenya<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Energising Development Kenya Programme (EnDev Kenya), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is seeking for enterprises to participate in the Social Impact Incentives (SIINC) Results-based Financing (RBF) Pilot Project. The objective of the SIINC pilot project is to provide Social Impact Incentives as a form of \u2018proof-of-concept\u2019 to initially up to three selected energy enterprises in the course of 2020-2022 based on measurable impact achievement that is to be defined with the applicants. The amount of SIINC incentive payments provided by the pilot project to leverage commercial investment will be in the range of 100,000 \u20ac to 225,000 \u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can participate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This call for Expression of Interest (EoI) is targeting enterprises that focus on providing decentralized renewable energy solutions to low income consumers. EnDev will support them with results-based incentive payments for positive social outcomes. Examples for social outcomes include, but are not limited to, households\u2019 energy expenditure savings, income from productive use of energy, increase of agricultural production output or job creation. To qualify, the applicants must be able to meet the following eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Legal business entity incorporated in Kenya<\/li><li>Business operations in Kenya for at least 2 years<\/li><li>Annual turnover of at least 150,000 \u20ac in at least one year of operations<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to submit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested enterprises should send an email by 2nd October 2020 with the subject \u201cSIINC Pilot Project &#8211; 83363347\u201d to&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"mailto:KE_Inquiry@giz.de\">KE_Inquiry@giz.de&nbsp;<\/a>to request for the application documents (incl. submission details).
